Yoga with Catherine Walker

I've been practicing yoga for 10 years and trained at the Healing
Yoga School in London which is accredited by the Krishnamacharya Healingand Yoga Foundation (India) and the British Wheel of Yoga (UK). Since I've been teaching I enjoy bringing a huge smile to my classes.
A typical class starts with a gentle warm-up to lubricate your joints, warm your muscles and settle your focus. It will then move into a flowing sequence of yoga poses designed to stretch and strengthen your body. My classes will focus on a particular theme developed over the term to help deepen your yoga practice and your learning. Many poses will be presented with simpler or more complex options so you can gradually strengthen and benefit from regular practice and advance at your own pace. You are always invited to take into account how you feel and your body’s flexibility. Classes are structured to suit each individual, taking into account any injuries or areas of stiffness.
The end of the class will include breathing exercises designed to increase mental focus as well as relaxing the body. The class will usually finish with a period of relaxation and reflection leaving you feeling energised and refreshed.
