I teach yoga using the body, breath and mindfulness, introducing yoga postures step-by-step and maintaining a close link with your breath and body throughout the practice. My yoga teaching style is practical and adaptable, progressive and relaxed. The viniyoga approach to yoga practice uses alignment and precision along with slow flowing movements and encourages a meditative approach to your practice. I apply the tools and approach of viniyoga to ensure the practice is suitable to all who attend, no matter what your level of experience, size, shape or fitness. I have worked with a vast range of levels of fitness from post operation to competition level athletes.
Yoga can create a calmness in breath, mind, body and spirit. My studies and practice create a physical wellness with a mindful space. The beauty of a steady yoga practice is it can change with your life and always be there to support you. I really enjoy watching students develop in their practice, physically and mindfully.
Yoga background and training I have been a yoga practitioner for over 15 years before I qualified for my yoga teaching and yoga therapy diploma under the teaching of Paul Harvey, who studied with the late TKV Desikachar for over 25 years. The yoga teaching and therapy qualification was an extensive four year course which covered yoga practice, postures and anatomy, Āyurveda, yoga therapy for a wide range of health conditions, yoga philosophy and yoga psychology. This training is accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga. I continue to train with Paul on more specialist subjects to continue my studies in yoga. Website: https://www.facebook.com/ViniYogaPrana/
