John’s yoga classes are mixed ability classes. They are suitable for all levels of interest and include modifications to support and develop your own individual needs in a safe, welcoming and accessible way. He provides an informed and grounded approach to the many benefits you’ll develop from your yoga practice.
A typical class will include preparation to help you ‘arrive’ into your practice using awareness of the breath and progressing to dynamic yoga postures, moving in and out of them linked to the breath. This prepares the body for staying in postures at your own level, and encourages you to develop at your own pace. You’ll enjoy releasing tension whilst helping improve strength, flexibility balance, co-ordination, and focus.
For over 20 years John has gained a wealth of experience from studying and teaching viniyoga to people from a broad range of ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Combined with his experience as a masseur, therapist, and community worker, he provides a well rounded approach to yoga practice.
