A day of yoga with Marian. We will explore the concept and relevance of the three Gunas - the 3 essential qualities of the world. The Gunas have been explored for thousands of years and offer a way of understanding our yoga practice and ourselves. The three Gunas include: Ragas – movement/passion Tamas – stillness/inertia Sattva – clarity/perception
Explore more about these ideas and how they apply to our asana (postures), pranayama (breathing) and meditation practices. Also exploring the references to the Gunas in yoga texts to help understand them further.
It will be a friendly and informal workshop including practice and discussion with a welcoming approach to enquiry into your yoga practice and understanding.
