Yoga classes with me are an enjoyable, end of the day yoga practice to move, strengthen, stretch, breath and calm the mind. They are welcoming and supportive classes that are suitable for all levels of fitness and experience. We focus on the foundations of yoga practice and offer a great class for developing strength, flexibility, relaxation along with a calm, steady mind. Using body movements synchronised with the breath and a focused mind, we will learn to link movements and breath together for great overall health in a well-balanced class. Viniyoga is a traditional approach to yoga that offers individualised challenges for when you are ready, deepening your practice through the body-breath connection.
My classes offer a good foundation in yoga and to develop your yoga practice. There will be challenges for body and breath and I'm skilled at adapting the class for injuries and health limitations too.
Yoga background and training I attended my first yoga class in the early 1990s and have been doing yoga on and off ever since. I started taking my yoga more seriously in the mid-2000s, investing more to developing my understanding of yoga and its philosophy. My unending yoga journey continues. I completed my initial teacher training with sadhana mala (http://www.sadhanamala.com/), within the viniyoga tradition, and continue my training both within and around this tradition.
