Gentle Yoga with Jess is a slower paced class, aimed at those who feel they are not ready for general classes, especially those who are stiffer, older or managing health issues.
The class is taught by Jess and assisted by Melroy Mukwaya. Both are Iyengar yoga teachers, with many years of experience teaching all abilities. Everyone is welcome, including beginners. To bookThe class fee is £15 and booked in advance directly through Jess.

About JessJess has a calm and gentle nature and says, “Yoga encourages us to live moment to moment and to observe the drive to do.”
Her fascination with Iyengar yoga began when she was a child, poring over the photographs in Light on Yoga. When she was 19 she joined the Iyengar Yoga Society at Edinburgh University and began attending regular classes. The practice transformed her, making her back strong. She loved the focus on precision and alignment in the postures and the feeling of quiet after class. Outside of yoga practice, Jess enjoys time in the garden and painting. TrainingJess is a Level 3 Iyengar yoga teacher with therapy status. Jess trained in London, passing Introductory 2 in October 2005, and most recently Senior 2 in November 2019.
