Practicing Yoga and Pilates during pregnancy can be wonderfully beneficial to support you in your journey through pregnancy and beyond.
Bristol Yoga Space offers specialised pregnancy yoga classes, women's yoga classes and prenatal Pilates classes, and we have easy city centre parking.
You can also come along to mainstream classes with Clara or Sheila who are trained at incorporating pregnant women into their classes.

Pregnant women are also welcome to join general yoga classes with Clara and Sheila who have had specialist pregnancy yoga training and are experienced at integrating pregnant women past 14 weeks into a general class.

Pregnancy yoga classes are designed to safely provide appropriate stretching, strengthening, breathing, relaxation and also support through the various discomforts of pregnancy. It is wonderful for preparing you for birth both physically and psychologically, and can support a more rapid post-natal recovery.
The focus of the pregnancy yoga classes at Bristol Yoga Space is on adapting yoga to your particular stage of pregnancy, supporting the pregnancy with focused strengthening and relaxation of key areas of the body, teaching you how to move safely in pregnancy yoga, energising you during pregnancy, providing a supportive space to prepare physically and mentally for the birth and beyond, breathing techniques to help with focus, relaxation and with the birthing process, and support for post-natal recovery. The classes are friendly and informal and a chance to meet other women who are also on their journey through pregnancy.
Who can come?
Newcomers to yoga classes and experienced yoga practitioners are very welcome to begin pregnancy yoga classes. Group classes are kept small to allow individual attention and safe practice during your stages of pregnancy. From 14 weeks right through to your due date, you'll find yoga a helpful support.
An introductory private pregnancy yoga lesson is suggested for those with complications before joining the group class to provide an introduction to safely practicing pregnancy yoga.

About the teachers
The Monday pregnancy yoga class is taught by Clara Lemon who has been trained in pregnancy yoga with Paul Harvey. She is also a fully qualified and registered yoga therapist.
Thursday evening pregnancy yoga is taught by Sheila Wolfenden who has been specially trained to teach pregnancy yoga with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli.
