This course is a great foundation to set you up for embarking on your yoga practice.
We will explore a range of introductory postures and techniques and you'll get to experience the benefits that yoga has to offer you. It is a small group with additional guidance and a slower pace. Step-by-step instruction with time for feedback and adaptation to suit any health needs you have. There is always plenty to practice and learn at your own pace. In-person with an Online option if helpful (or recordings offered if you miss the class). Other optionsIf you'd rather just come along to classes, that is fine too and we'd love to see you.

Helpful infoDo I need to book?
If a class says 'drop-in' on the class timetable, you can simply book for the class online for a one-off. . What should I wear? Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. No special kit needed. When should I arrive? Please aim to arrive 10 minutes before the start of the yoga class, especially if it is your first class. Please don't arrive late to the studio or you might find the door locked. I'm a beginner to yoga, is that okay? Yes, we teach in small friendly groups and beginners are welcome to start at any time. Please come 10 mins prior to the class start time and let the teacher know you are new to Yoga. They will give you a few pointers to help you get started. Do I need to come each week? Coming weekly and getting to know your teacher and their teaching style is an ideal way to gain familiarity with the movements and ways of practicing. A teacher who knows you can help you along the way. At least weekly practice is recommended. How should I pay? Book online through our booking system or directly to the teacher in advance via bank transfer. What if I have an injury or health issue? If you have any health concerns or injuries yoga can be very helpful when carefully practiced. Sometimes modification of the practices is required to ensure it is safe. All of our teachers are experienced at working with a wide range of health issues. If your unsure, please chat to the yoga teacher in advance of coming, simply click on the teachers name to get a link to their contact info. At Bristol YogaSpace all of the yoga teachers specialise in the therapeutic application of yoga. Health limitations can be accommodated as long as we know about them in advance and can make the time to work with you. Sometimes a group class isn't an ideal starting point and private lessons might be recommended initially. Or a quieter class where we can work with you more individually. This would help get you started with your practice and explore ways of moving and practicing that suit you. Can I make up missed classes that I've paid for? Yes, you can exchange up to 2 classes during your term, this will be online as space is very limited at the studio. Some classes are recorded so you could attend that way too. Please discuss with your teacher in advance. Sorry we can't carry over missed classes to the next term. Do I need a yoga mat? We recommend you bring your own but we have plenty at the studio for you to use too. Do you have space to get changed? Yes we have two loos you can change in. Personal belongings We have space to bring your valuables into the studio with you. Please turn off all phones (no sound and not on vibrate). If you do leave anything at the studio, please let us know within a month so that we can hold on to it for you. We donate unclaimed items to charity from time to time. Where can I park my car? We have a small car park for 5-6 cars and easy on-street parking in the surrounding streets. Where can I park my bike? We have plenty of bike parking at the studio. |
