Practicing yoga encourages a calm mind and a more relaxed body which helps to improve the quality and ease of our sleep. This 3-hour workshop will practice and teach effective yoga techniques that can help you to get off to sleep more easily and to enjoy a good night's sleep so that you wake up feeling refreshed and energised. We will spend the afternoon exploring some simple yoga postures and easy-to-learn but effective breathing and meditation techniques that can help you relax and experience deep and sound sleep.
The workshop is suitable for everyone, including complete beginners to yoga. Refreshments will be provided mid-afternoon and the workshop will finish with a long, restorative relaxation session. Handouts will be provided outlining the techniques covered during the workshop, with tips for sleeping well and a short, relaxing yoga sequence incorporating gentle stretches that you can do before bedtime. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring an extra jumper (or maybe a blanket and perhaps even a cushion if you like!) for the relaxation session.
