Revitalise and bring stability, spaciousness and ease to body and mind. Classes are slow, flowing and closely linked to the breath with meditative space.

Aches and pains improve, strength and stability are cultivated, stress feels easier, confidence and focus improves and we learn not to struggle and find the best in our yoga. Discover a way to practice that doesn't look anything like an Instagram post, with personal guidance to accommodate all that you come with and is unique to what you need.

Most classes are Open Level with a range of challenges and optional developments when you feel ready. Classes that are 'Gentle' or 'Gentle Modified' are accommodating to a wide range of mobility levels and health issues. The 'Gentle Modified' class can be mostly chair based for those who need it.

Teaching style & training

Viniyoga uses traditional yoga postures, breathwork and meditative techniques which are modified to suit everyone in the class. It feels different from many modern yoga classes. Simple poses with subtle adaptations and modifications to enable your breath and life to flourish and discover your yoga. Leave your expectations at the door and discover simple, profound yoga for everyone.

This individualised approach requires extensive training - over 4-years (not the usual 1-2 year 200 or 500 hour training) and is accredited with the British Wheel of Yoga and the Association of Yoga Studies. Over the years I have taken further training in yoga for pregnancy and postnatal support, children's yoga, mindfulness and meditation, Ayurveda, Vedic chanting and philosophy, in particular the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali.

Anna

"My Osteopath who recommended your class, has remarked that he hasn't seen this much improvement in my spine and back health after only a few months, than in all the years I've been seeing him."
Sarah

"I finally understand about the breath now."
