Enjoy an afternoon of yoga with more time to deepen your practice with slow movements, breath focus and meditative practice.
This accessible 3-hour workshop will explore how the structure of our yoga practice can lead us towards different goals. The aim of this afternoon is to bring us towards a place where the body, breath and mind are calmer, steadier and well balanced. We will have time and space to experience and practice yoga in a supportive and friendly environment. The practices will be embodied and breath-centred, with a meditative focus throughout.
You will be supported to explore and experience the core principles of yoga practice at your own pace. We will work with primary postures, intelligent sequencing and structure, and a 'moving meditation' towards calmness and stillness. You should leave the workshop feeling relaxed, refreshed and inspired to try the home practice handout.
All abilities, levels of fitness and experience are welcome from those who have never tried yoga before to those who have attended group classes but are curious to explore further. There will be breaks and refreshments provided, plus a chance to ask questions. There will also be handouts of yoga practice and meditation techniques that you can take home and try. Sitting cross-legged is not required and all equipment is provided (unless you prefer to bring along your own).
Suitable for all abilities and levels of fitness including beginners.
