A wonderful day of explorative and accessible yoga practices, discussion, reflection and of course delicious snacks.
We will base the day around an inspiring, yet traditional framework from the Yoga Sutra, in a practical and helpful way.
Some of the lesser known teachings of yoga, that we don't get to go into in depth in a group class, can help us the most with our practice. Let's spend a few hours delving and practicing to discover a new richness.
Explore time-tested methods for addressing obstacles in yoga (and in life!). They promise to enliven your practice and be richly rewarding and sustaining and remarkably simple in some ways.
We all encounter obstacles that can derail our practice, our stability and leave us needing more support. Perhaps we aren't consistent and lose momentum, or tend to overdo things and burn out, or find we are injured or aren't enjoying it. Perhaps we are impatient or lose our direction. All are opportunities to re-discover and refresh our practice and re-encounter yoga.
No experience is necessary for exploring the Yoga Sutra. It is a brilliantly relevant yet traditional text when brought to life on our own mat and in our discussions. Written by Patanjali, it offers a framework of obstacles and ways to address them that we will take time to explore and reflect on during our practice and discussions.
Suitable for everyone, especially those who have been practicing any style of yoga for six months or more
There will be plenty of breaks during the day with healthy snacks, biscuits and teas provided. Please bring lunch for yourself or there are lovely cafes along Gloucester Road too.
Feedback from previous workshops "Such a refreshing approach to yoga practice and your teaching style is both thorough yet gentle." "Clara met each of us where we are in terms of yoga practice. This allowed me to feel safe and comfortable. Thank you. I feel both energised and calm."
