Core strength is an essential aspect of effective yoga practice. The physical postures (asana) and the sitting practices of breathwork and meditation require stability and strength in 'core' of the body to support the spine and good posture. Working with deep abdominal muscles we will learn how to improve our core strength and lengthen and rebalance the body into better alignment. Core strength is at the heart of good posture which can improve our overall energy and vitality, prevent tension and back pain and overall health and physical comfort. It is also key to good breathing which improves our complete wellbeing. Using specially selected yoga postures and simple breathing techniques, we will explore how we can more effectively support our body from deep within, and make you feel taller, stronger but at the same time more energised and relaxed. The afternoon will comprise of 3 accessible yoga sessions with a break for refreshments mid-afternoon. A handout for an ongoing home practice to keep up the good work will be provided, along with handouts on key aspects covered. All equipment is provided at the studio.
Everyone is welcome including complete beginners. Please wear
